Monthly Jazz Nights

The Farncombe Cavern has rapidly become a favourite for Jazz musicians & listeners since the first performance by the Marianne Windham Trio in early 2011.
Over the course of this year the local interest has grown significantly to gather much press interest including several features in the Surrey Advertiser.

Marianne Windham is a freelance Double Bass player, mostly jazz but also classical, playing in and around London and the South East. Marianne took up playing full time at the beginning of 2011, leaving behind a career as director of a successful IT consultancy company, since when she met some fantastic players and wonderful people who have been a source of inspiration and many of whom have become great friends.

In 2011 Marianne began peforming monthly jazz concets here at the Cavern, where along with her house trio they have been privileged to play with some of Britain's greatest jazz musicians, including Henry Lowther, Mark Nightingale, Stan Sulzmann, David Newton and Nigel Price.
